Saturday the 12th. April 2014, start 3PM: Members of the group are invited to help with a deer count and survey on a large Estate in Gloucestershire. We will do a woodland impact assessment followed by a deer count around dusk and early evening, using Mark1 eyeballs, binoculars, cameras, FLIR and other Night Vision devices.
The owner of the 500 Acres+ Estate of mainly woodland is very much focused on conservation but some commercial forestry and farming takes place as well. The Group will produce a report with our findings, make recommendations, and will hopefully work together with this landowner starting in the Winter of 2014/15.
If you are interested please email the site admin and your details will be forwarded to the project coordinator AlanR.
